An Update on This Blog...

I felt like I was getting back into BK modding, ever since I was learning a lot of modding. I've had a lot of hope with it, but at this point I don't feel very encouraged anymore. If you want to know why, I posted this on my main blogger here:

Spot's Cave - AKA. the Second Level's Entrance

Hey! I already finished the main hub map, but I do not want to show it at this time!
Right now I will show one of the areas...

Closer to the level entrance... Also I may replace that door model.
Blue Moon Forest is the first level, now we got a cave...
The level will be focused as a cave level, it's about it being more mysterious and also a little bit of Donkey Kong Country 3's style too.

Speaking of that, I was able to use this interesting grass effect.

Making this work may require some expert thinking..
It involves layer tricks. Sadly Blender would corrupt the order based off Sketchup whenever you reopen the .obj after Blender. The way I import is when I export as a COLLADA (.dae) file from Sketchup, then I import into Blender, then export as an .obj).
I had to reopen the .obj to configure the UV on some of the mountains..

However after hours of failing, I found one simple trick. Just import the grass layers from a separate .dae to the already existing .obj, then change the texture directory to the texture from the main .obj (Hard to explain?) export area, then the layer would be correct.

So yeah! Got a lot more maps to do with the hub world! Man...

Oh yeah.. I made a shocking discovery...

If you look closer, you will see not only a face, but a devil face.. O_O
There is even another face, but in a different style next to it on the left! In the first snapshot, you can kind of see it...
Now I know Rare has made face drawings on many walls of Grunty's Lair.. But I do not think this was intentional... especially since this formed by the texture reversing on one side...

Well, that's it for today!

WHAT THE HELL!?

Someone just told me there was trouble linking here to this blog.
I first decided to look around my blog tracker and I've found some really disturbing link.
It led to some disturbing article that was bullying someone I know..

Apparently this person thinks it's me.
I've gotten some information saying it was me because of some other post that posted a picture of Humphrey from a wolf movie I thought was pretty awesome.

Wow do some people think it's a rare gem?

I do not want to promote this bullying garbage so I will not give any links out.
I was suggested however to change the blog home page link. Maybe I need to.

OK. As for this hack I might still upload stuff to it!

Reactors

So.. I'm working on a small hack for Banjo Kazooie. A lot of it will be using the keep textures. Some textures are custom, and some are part custom (Editing existing textures I didn't make)
All of it will take place inside a spaceship. Here is a random picture of one part!
---Picture may have had bug issues where it may have not loaded, it was removed for now.---

Spaceship Newbee: "Umm sir? Where does that closed door lead too?"
Spaceship Master: "OH GOD, I forgot about that part of my spaceship. Let's just say there was another employee who may have caused a lot of trouble in Sector 4 of the spaceship, and then I wanted him to go into this room, that has a portal leading back to his world, then locked the door for now.."
Spaceship Newbee: "Oh.. umm alright."

Sadly folks, the laser beams don't animate, or even scroll. I cannot seem to turn on the scrolling for the object and Skill has not had a feature to allow animated texture frames or something.

Sorry For Not Being Here Much

I have been focusing on a lot of problems for months.. However during some time, I was slowly working on this (Picture). It was much bigger, and for now I wanted to make it more smaller.
This was used using a much updated version of Banjo's Backpack which can be found here:
http://banjosbackpack.com/

Sadly as for the main hack, I still yet to wait for some things. You know, I've never made a full hack before, and I fear this could fade.. I hope not.. I just need to figure out how I can handle the level order and hub and such...

Model Completed Maybe

UPDATE: I should of gave the source of that spotted tile texture. Here it is: http://spiralgraphics.biz/packs/tile/index.htm?33 | http://spiralgraphics.biz/ | Sadly I was supposed to do that I think but didn't for years. Hoping no damages happen and could be forgiven. UPDATE DONE

Well, I already had it like this for months.. I just didn't feel like posting on here for a while...

I did had some issues where I need to re-shade some stuff because of a bug that caused something to corrupt, but the earlier files don't look that far, not very far at all.

Shading still isn't done, but I'm sure the model is!

The Front of The House

Yes, this is the front. Some rooms are on, and some are off. Also has a nice balcony.

Front Door Area
Some nice shading.. Without it... don't ask.
Anyway, if your wondering what those 3 colored shading things are, it's kind of part of the story of the place I think.

Part of The Back - House Area
A nice fancy window huh? You may also noticed an opened window to the right.. Yep, you can go in there for sure!
There is also a mountain (With unshaded trees) on the left. Mad Monster Mansion never had mountains or cliff like stuff before I think.

Main Street
On the other side of the street, lies the original entrance to Mad Monster Mansion.. It was remain though so stuff may not 100% look accurate to the main walls and such.

Other Side of Street
You may notice that the fencing is cut off on the right of the gate.. It actually shows right but the invisible walls caused layering issues, which can make weird illusions.. Sadly some may have to deal with this problem I'm afraid.

An Easter Egg

Many people probably won't know what this is. KIM stands for "Kate's Inner Monster" I think. I'm not the one who made this up, but I was a fan of this character and just couldn't help my self and make reference to this anthropomorphic wolf person. I guess I wanted to promote or something.

There WAS going to be more than just a sign.. A secret room was going to be mainly about this KIM person (Does the person actually have a name?).

Sadly, due to some fearing relationships in terms of "trapped" and "monopoly" involving some guy who expresses (It's the same guy in the link) that character. I don't even know if I should just go on.. It may be possible to secretly go around something, but I just don't feel it much anymore.

This sign may still remain at least (and I really DON'T want to re-shade this map, holy crap..) but what I was going to possibly do may be canceled. However, I might make a dramatic version of it in that same room. May be hard to explain.

I might of took a potion to make me a complete non-fan now.. Don't ask on what I just said because I don't care. LOL

I might make a whole post talking about this reason by the way.

_________________________________________

So yeah, this is the level. There is also a cool story behind the whole house, it's about some lost city that had a better morality (Following Gold Rule and such). Story following is optional.. Exploration and freedom is for everyone! Will I release the full hack? I hope so.

Haunted Level -Need Name-

I've been working on a haunted level for the Banjo Kazooie hack. So far, it's not even close to finish. I still need to work on the new mansion. Didn't I say the level will be similar to Mad Monster Mansion?

Here is what I got so far:

Unfinished - Not even windows.

I had some rage on the damn roofs. Sadly, the roof may not be perfect but it's probably not a big deal.
Most textures (Like often) will be from the original game. Some may be re-colored. Some are also edited by removing some face too.
Also, there is one texture I found on the Internet, that's now resized somewhere on the map.

I did, however, made some of my own.

Front door. - With custom door texture.

Boy, if I made this official, for a commercial, I would need to remove all the Copyrighted textures. xD And maybe change the MMM wall shape, maybe. I can probably still make it similar as a platformer game, with the ideas though.

Anyway, I love my door texture.. Still though, the door may still feel too different than the rest, like it may still look too "cartoony" (Not that it's a bad thing it's self). I often want to make the wood and stuff feel more like the textures from Banjo Kazooie. I did made another door texture near there.. In another map... It was in that scary room about those 2 trolls on the wall. I noticed I didn't make the door style pop-out things right but it could be a new style in the end...

Takes place right outside of the original level! Which is Mad Monster Mansion.
Yep, ever wondered what's behind the gate when playing the original game, and while in Mad Monster Mansion? I wanted to make a version to see what it's like.. Though, I don't know why, but my mind was mainly about a forest and a trail.. Not so sure why this one something else..
Anyone can freely make there own if they like of course. I won't claim ownership of the idea.

Also, some textures of the UV mapping is messed up (Noticed the fence and such?). It's planned to be fixed in Wings 3D.
The texture UV editing in Sketchup is really terrible. Most of the time if I were to use the unfixed pins, it would make copies of the same texture and make them into different shapes and stuff...

Like I said... really unfinished...
Also, there may be an Easter egg or something about some wolf called KIM.. I would place some signs saying "KIM was here" or something. Maybe in "blood writing??"

I could also go a long way secret on where this wolf went. -A secret room inside the mansion, but it's very hard to find I think-.. Inside... umm I won't tell further but most of it is an idea for now.
*KIM is some character made by a fan of a wolf movie called Alpha and Omega. Mainly from that.

Anyway, shading this map is going to take a while once it's done!
